MAC Unsung Heroes: High Tea Lipstick - Makeup and Beauty Blog
What's an unsung makeup hero? For me, it'southward an oftentimes underrated makeup morsel, a permanent collection product that scoots under the radar screen of many makeup lovers but regularly rocks my world. The long-running Unsung Heroes series features some of my favorites.
At that place own't no party similar a high tea party 'cause a high tea party don't stop!
This occurs to me not only because I'yard currently craving tea and those tiny sandwiches from The Rotunda again (OH, MAH GOSH! And then good…), but besides because of the recently launched frosty beige MAC Mariah Carey Lipstick.
Even though I can totally picture Mimi rocking a frosty beige lipstick, it's the kind of color that isn't always easy to habiliment, which got me wondering nigh other MAC lipsticks with a kinda-sorta similar vibe.
After combing my mental MAC files, I remembered Loftier Tea. Information technology's a $17 pearly biscuit pink in the MAC Lustre Lipstick line, and it has simply enough frostiness to hit those high notes without being so frosty that it becomes difficult to wear.
There was a time when I was regularly wearing tubes of High Tea down to the nub (you lot know I love me some nude lips). It'south one of those "information technology goes with everything" nude lipsticks, and I call up information technology looks bang-up by itself for a quickie nude lip.
Maybe because of the subtle frosty, shiny finish, it also makes my lips look a lilliputian fuller (I recollect). Yup, being a MAC Lustre, High Tea has a glossy, holiday-hoppin' stop, only it isn't sticky like a gloss, which means that I tin wear it without worrying about my pilus whipping around when information technology's windy and getting stuck to my pout.
I find that I exercise have to reapply the lightweight, moderately moisturizing formula afterwards snacks, drinks and meals, but that'southward non a large deal for me. I don't listen. I kinda think it'southward fun (and MAC'due south signature vanilla flavour and scent become me every time).
Also, when you lot're in the mood to layer, endeavor it with MAC Lip Pencil in Subculture or the MAC Pro Longwear Lip Pencils in Oh Honey or Cultured. I love how they look with High Tea. Or, attempt it with something similar a nude pinkish gloss on superlative, like MAC Plushglass in Big Baby. 🙂
Your friendly neighborhood dazzler aficionado,
Karen
P.S. TGIF!
